Get a DOI for Your Work
Any work published in the Knowledge Commons repository is automatically assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) allowing you to share your work more broadly across scholarly information systems and for others to reliably reference your work.

Create a Scholarly Profile
Through its robust profile tool Knowledge Commons allows you to create and share a scholarly profile, complete with automatically updated information about your activity across the Commons, and to connect with others on the platform who share your scholarly interests. 

Connect with Other Scholars
Community members can join hcommons.social, the Knowledge Commons Mastodon platform, to connect with even more scholars and to participate in lively scholarly discussions.

Lead and Join Groups
Groups allow you to find others already working in your interest areas, or to start your own collaborative community. Groups allow you to create a messaging list, share documents with your group members, collaboratively draft new works, and to build a website for the community’s work. 

Create a Website for Yourself and Your Projects
Knowledge Commons makes it easy to create WordPress sites for yourself and your projects. Community members can create multiple sites with different themes and functionality, using our curated list of WordPress themes and plugins, designed to help you accomplish your scholarly goals.

Use the analytics tools built into Commons sites and the Repository to track the visits, downloads and engagement with your scholarly work.

Promote Your Events
Use the Commons tools to create a website to promote your event, share the schedule and attendance information, and to publish proceedings afterward. 

Federated Login
Knowledge Commons features a federated login system, allowing you to use one of your preferred login methods such as ORCID iD or Google.
